The 18th season of the IPL will be yet another opportunity for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) to claim their elusive second title. The 2008 Indian Premier League champions retained skipper Sanju Samson, dynamic Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, all-rounder Riyan Parag, explosive WI batsman Shimron Hetmyer, Sandeep Sharma, and wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel ahead of the 2025 IPL mega auction.
In the auction, the franchise acquired the services of stars such as Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Nitish Rana, and Fazalhaq Farooqi, among others. The Royals finished third in the points table last year with eight victories in 14 outings. They defeated the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Eliminator, only to be beaten by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 02.
