FedEx St. Jude Championship 2024 Field

The FedEx St. Jude Championship, a nearly 60-year-old golf event, is the first of the three annual events played to determine the FedEx Cup champion. Previously known as The Northern Trust, The Barclays, and the Buick Classic, the tournament changed its name due to sponsorship; it has been called with the prefix FedEx since 1986.

The 2024 event will be held at Tennessee's TPC Southwind from August 15 to 18. Only the top 70 players on the FedEx Cup points list at the conclusion of the regular season are eligible to compete; previously, the top 125 players were included. Since 2007, the FedEx St. Jude Championship has served as the inaugural FedEx Cup playoff event.

FedEx Cup Point Distribution

The FedEx Cup points distribution system (2024) per winning event is given below:

The same procedure that is now used to divide prize money in the event of a tie is applied to points awarded to individuals in tied positions. That is, each player in a tying position will receive a portion of the average, which will be calculated from the total points for each tying position.

FedEx St. Jude Championship Cut Line

There is no traditional cut line at the FedExCup Playoffs; in fact, they are open to the top 70 players in the FedExCup standings. To put it simply, the three championships have progressive cut fields of 30 (Tour Championship), 50 (BMW Championship), and 70 (FedEx St. Jude Championship).
