2023 Valero Texas Open: Round 2 leaderboard explored 

Patrick Rodgers topped the leaderboard when the Valero Texas Open was suspended during the second round on Friday, March 31. The tournament was affected by fog and was delayed on Thursday.

The opening round was finally completed on Friday morning, which delayed the start of the second round. Forty-six players were on the course to complete play when darkness took over TPC San Antonio, and officials suspended play again during the second round.

Golfers will complete their remaining holes on Saturday at 7:40 am ET. The top 65 will make the cut and will play in the third round.

The tee time of the third round will be announced once the second round gets over.

After the semi-finished second round of the Valero Texas Open, Patrick Rodgers is top after doing a round of 67. Corey Conners is tied for second position alongside Roberto Diaz, who's yet to complete the second round.

2023 Valero Texas Open: Round 2 leaderboard

Patrick Rodgers made seven birdies on the second day to finish with a score of 67. He leads the leaderboard at the Valero Texas Open by three strokes after settling a scoring deficit of 11.

The second position is jointly shared by Corey Conners and Roberto Diaz, scoring under 8. Michael Thompson and Brendon Wu tied for fourth position at a score deficit of 7, followed by Eric Cole, Thomas Detry and Matt Kuchar.

Rickie Fowler settled at the 49th position alongside Brandon Wu, Jason Dufner, JJ Spaun, Si Woo Kim, Chandler Phillips, Harry Hall, Patton Kizzie, Brice Garnett, Lanto Griffin, Hank Lebioda, Andrew Landry, Kevin Streelman, Trevor Cone, Nicolai Hojgaard, Peter Kuest and Aaron Rai.

It's important to note that the 2023 Valero Texas Open is the only remaining tournament to qualify for the Masters. The winner of the tournament will join the star-studded field of golfers at the Augusta National from April 6-9.
