The PGA Tour is in Jackson, Mississippi, this week for the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship. The second event of the FedEx Fall will take place from Thursday, October 4 to Sunday, October 7 at the Country Club of Jackson.
The 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship will be a 132-player field competing for the purse size of $7,600,000. The field will mostly feature the names looking to move up in the FedEx Cup standings to secure their card or earn a spot in Signature events.
Here's a look at the PGA Tour power rankings for the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship.
Power Rankings for the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship
1) Nick Dunlap
Nick Dunlap has had a pretty exciting debut season on the PGA Tour and can turn it even more memorable with a strong finish at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
Speaking of the recent form, the 20-year-old rookie had finished T5 and T31 at the two starts in the FedExCup Playoffs with a T5 and T31.
2) Maverick McNealy
Maverick McNealy is 54th in the FedEx Cup but would like to move further up with a good week at Country Club of Jackson. He last played here in 2020 and tied for 17th that year.
3) Ben Griffin
Ben Griffin is indeed one of the top players at the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship. Last year, he led by three strokes after 54 holes but narrowly missed out on victory, losing in a five-way playoff to Luke List.
This year, Griffin will seek redemption and build on his strong form.
4) Patrick Fishburn
Patrick Fishburn is another rookie who has had a good season. He has had two third-place finishes and a T6 in his last four appearances but is short of a title. He will be hoping to grab his first win at the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship.
5) Patton Kizzire
Patton Kizzire is coming to the Sanderson Farms Championship after a whopping five-shot win at the Procore Championship. Now he will be looking to have another great week on Tour to make it 2 in 2.
6) Mackenzie Hughes
Mackenzie Hughes was in Montreal last week at the Presidents Cup and is now back to 72-hole strokeplay action. He won here two years ago and will hope to repeat the magic this time too.
