Although Tom Kim is the two-time defending champion at the 2024 Shriners Children's Open, he is not at the top of the power rankings for the tournament. European golfer Stephan Jaeger leads the power rankings for this week's event.

The 2024 Shriners Children's Open will take place from Thursday, September 17, to Sunday, September 20, at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fourth event of the FedEx Cup Fall season will feature 132 players competing for a purse of $7,000,000.

In this article, we will take a look at the power rankings for the 2024 Shriners Children's Open.

Last Sunday, Stephan Jaeger nearly missed the title at the Black Desert Championship and finished runner-up. However, this week he will be looking to cross the final hurdle and earn a win.

2) Taylor Pendrith

Taylor Pendrith is back in the 72-hole stroke play action for the first time since the Presidents Cup. Despite the team's defeat, he did well to finish that week with a 2-3-0 record.

So far this season, Pendrith has recorded several top 25s, including a few top 5s and a win. Last year he finished T3 at TPC Summerlin.

3) Matt McCarty

A couple of days ago, Matt McCarty joined Jason Gore as the only player to have won a PGA Tour event in the same season, in which he won three times on the Korn Ferry Tour. He can make it even better by winning another one this week.

McCarty is not at the top of the power rankings, considering he has never won back-to-back this season. However, he has a chance to change that this week.

4) Tom Hoge

Tom Hoge has a good record at the Shriners Children's Open and has registered three top-15 finishes at the event. Speaking of recent form, he finished T7 at the Procore Championship last month.

5) Tom Kim

Tom Kim is a two-time defending champion at TPC Summerlin, but his poor season since has placed him low in the power rankings. However, considering his past performance here, one can expect him to do well once again.
