Shriners Children's Open Fall History
Since its inception in 1983, the Shriners Children's Open has taken place at the breathtaking TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, which Golf Digest magazine named "One of America's Best Golf Courses." Every year, some of the biggest names in golf come here to compete for the $8.4 million prize fund, where Tiger Woods earned his first PGA Tour championship in 1996.
This tournament happens to be one of the most reputed charitable golf tournaments, both supported and funded by the Shriners Children's, a renowned pediatric healthcare network present and spread across 22 locations in North America. The tournament helps in collecting funds, which are then contributed to the children's healthcare system in North America, to enhance and improve their well being.
