The 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic is set to tee off on Thursday, June 27 at the Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan. The 29th event on the 2024 PGA Tour schedule calendar will see 156 players compete for the $9,200,000 prize purse.

World No. 16 Tom Kim is the highest-ranked player on the Rocket Mortgage Classic field. Unsurprisingly, he is also the outright favorite to win this weekend. The three-time PGA Tour winner comes into the competition with 12-1 odds, according to SportsLine.

Notably, the 22-year-old golfer tops the list despite having 10 of the top 50 names on the Official World Golf Rankings among the top contenders.

For the unversed, Tom Kim has had a mixed bag of results this season so far. Having started off the 2024 season with a T45 finish at The Sentry in January, the young golfer failed to make the cut at The American Express and the Valero Texas Open. He has managed four top-20 finishes with two top-five results.

Kim’s runner-up finish at the Travelers Championship last week has been his best result so far. The PGA Tour star will be looking for a strong comeback this weekend as he is the best player on the field.

Kim will tee off Day 1 of the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic at 7:40 am ET alongside Robert MacIntyre and Cameron Young. He will follow the group of Nick Dunlap, Chris Kirk and Erik van Rooyen.
