17-year-old Blades Brown will make his professional debut this week at the 2025 American Express. This will be his second start on the PGA Tour after the Myrtle Beach Classic last year where he placed T26.

At the age of 16, the Tennessee native had broken Bobby Jones' record of being the youngest medallist in stroke play in US amateur history. Jones had achieved the feat at the age of 18, a record that remained unbroken for a staggering 103 years. On the eve of this milestone for the youngster, the PGA Tour shared a snippet of his first Tour start last year at the Myrtle Beach Classic on X.

As a high school sophomore, Blades Brown decided to continue his education online to focus better on his golf in July last year. In December, he announced that despite receiving offers from top collegiate programs, he would turn pro instead of attending a college. The rising star has signed NIL deals with Callaway and New-Jersey-based financial advisory firm, Transcend Capital Advisors.

Blades Brown will start his 2025 American Express campaign on Thursday.
