Meanwhile, Sei Young Kim took the lead with a total score of 12-under, while Mao Saigo and Lucy Li tied for second at 11-under.
Speaking about her performance, Kim said, via ASAP Sports:
"It was really fun to play the front nine. After couple holes I make the birdie I was like, oh, wow, it's good vibe. And then hole 17, which is front nine for me, I had a good chance for the eagle. After I made it, oh, it could be like another course record."
"So last, No. 9 -- no, hole 18 I made a birdie, so, yeah, I played quite solid round. And then back nine I played a little bit -- lost my momentum, but after bogey I found how to play better, like front nine, and I keep playing," she added.
Notably, the Buick LPGA Championship is a four-day event and will conclude with its finale on Sunday, 13 October.
