Buick LPGA Shanghaibuick

One of the relatively new tournaments on the LPGA circuit is a women's professional golf tournament in China on the LPGA Tour. The Buick LPGA Shanghaibuick started in 2018 at Shanghai's famous Qizhong Garden Golf Club.

Danielle Kang, the first winner of this tournament, won it again in 2019. Angel Yin, the defending champion, won the 2023 edition by defeating Lilia Vu in the first playoff.

Buick LPGA Shanghaibuick 2024

The Buick LPGA Shanghai tournament continues to be one of the most prestigious tournaments held in China. It is known to attract the best players worldwide, coming together to compete for the winning prize and the commendable prize fund.

In 2024, it is all set to take place from October 10-13, at the famous Minhang District, Shanghai, People's Republic of China at the renowned course, the Qizhong Garden Golf Club. Although the Buick committee hasn't announced the field, here are the official entries as of today.

Buick LPGA Shanghaibuick 2023 Champion

Angel Yin is the defending champion of the Buick LPGA Shanghaibuick. Angel was born on October 3, 1998, and is one of the most dominating golfers in the world. She currently represents the USA.

She started strong, winning the California Women's Amateur Championship twice, and competing at the same time in challenging major tournaments such as the U.S. Women's Amateur and U.S. Women's Open at a young age. She turned professional soon after in 2017 and made her name by winning the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic as the world was in awe of her powerful and strategic swing and play. However, after a dramatic playoff, she marked her LPGA wins by winning the Buick LPGA Shanghai, where she secured her first place with a birdie on the first extra hole.
