Josef "Sepp" Straka is an Austrian professional golfer who was born on May 1, 1993. At 18 years of age, he and his brother, Sam, represented Austria at the 2011 European Boys' Team Championship, where they finished as runners-up. He attended the University of Georgia, graduating in 2016 before turning professional. Straka began his career on the Web.com Tour (now the Korn Ferry Tour) and had his first professional victory at the 2018 KC Golf Classic. In 2019, he joined the PGA Tour and claimed his first PGA win at the 2022 Honda Classic (now the Cognizant Classic), defeating Shane Lowry.

Straka has also represented Austria at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, finishing tied for 10th, and played for Team Europe in the 2023 Ryder Cup. As of February 2025, he has won four professional tournaments and holds a world ranking of No. 17, his career high, first achieved in January 2024.
