After the completion of the US Open, all eyes are now on the Travelers Championship, which is the last signature event on the PGA Tour. Fans have picked their favorites, but some little-known PGA golfers can also surprise this year.

Players like Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay among the top names already have a likelihood to win the Travelers Championship. Rory McIlroy won't attend the event after losing the US Open title by a single stroke.

The Travelers Championship is taking place this week, starting June 20. The golfers will compete at TPC River Highlands for a purse of $20 million. Here's a list of the top five golfers who might surprise fans with a win.

5 sleeper picks for the 2024 Travelers Championship

Sungjae Im: There's nothing better than young energy and Sungjae is only 26. Although the golfer closely missed the cut at Pinehurst, he has been in good form for the past two months. In his last five starts, he has had three top-ten finishes. He landed at T4, T9 and T8 at the Wells Fargo Championship, the Charles Schwab Challenge and the Memorial Tournament, respectively.

Hideki Matsuyama: The odds for Hideki Matsuyama to win are 28-1. The golfer has had five best-ten finishes until now, one of them in the US Open. He landed T6 and scored 72-66-70-70 in the four rounds of the Major. He also won the Genesis Invitational by scoring 69-68-68-62. The stakes are high for him to win now, given his astounding form.

Akshay Bhatia: The golfer has eight top-twenty finishes in his PGA starts. He won the Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio by 63-70-68-67. He performed marvelously at the US Open and finished at T-16. With such consistent records, Bhatia may win another trophy.

Robert MacIntyre: The golfer's odds to win are 120-1. He mostly recently won the RBC Canadian Open by 64-66-66-68 but luck didn't favor him as well at the US Open where he missed the cut. His most notable finishes were at the PGA Championship (T8) and the Mexico Open (T6).

Michael Thorbjornsen: The newest PGA member has gotten into the field of the Travelers Championship. Despite that, this is his third time in the field. Given the prior experience, it's expected that Thorbjornsen will utilize those failures to move in the right direction. As far as his year's performances are concerned, the athlete has had two top-twenty finishes. He finished at T-11 in the Dubai Desert Classic.
