One of the three FedEx Cup annual championships, the FedEx St. Jude Championship, will have its 18th edition on August 15–18 at the TPC Southwind, Tennessee, in the United States; the event will have a purse of $20 million. The championship was originally called the "Westchester Classic" back in 1967; 19 years after this, FedEx began as its title sponsor in 1986.
The event has no traditional cut system but rather a progressive cutline; St. Jude being the first of the three will have top-70 players from the FedEx Cup Standings competing in the event, followed by the top-50 at the BMW Championship, and lastly the Tour Championship with the top-30. The winner takes home the trophy and $25 million from the $100 million purse, making them the FedEx Cup champion for the year.

TPC Southwind Hole-by-Hole
The 18-hole TPC Southwind course is 7241 yards long, has a par of 70, and has a 145 slope rating. Designed by famed architect Ron Prichard in collaboration with Fuzzy Zoeller and Hubert Green, it is widely regarded as one of the most difficult courses on the PGA Tour.
The following are a few of the Southwind's most well-known holes:
The hole No. 9 of 457 yards and Par 4 is an extended dogleg to the right that is a little bit downhill, with the second shot crossing a lake in front of the green. To position themselves for the approach to the green, players require a significant amount of length. To guarantee an open shot to the green, it is best to drive past the huge tree to the right of the fairway.
The hole No. 11 of 157 yards and Par 3 is a more compact and interesting take on the well-known 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass. A short iron across water is needed to reach the island green on this hole, which has a little pot bunker protecting the front edge of the green.
The hole No. 14 of 239 yards and Par 3 is a tee that is elevated and a fully carried green that has noticeable curves. An extremely challenging par-3 course situated within a natural amphitheater.
The hole No. 18 at 453 yards and Par 4 is a terrific finishing hole that requires a lot of work off the tee. There are fairway bunkers on the right, and water comes into play on the first two strokes of this dogleg left.
