The 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge will be played at Colonial Country Club in Forth Worth, Texas from May 23 to 26. The newly renovated par 70 course will be played at 7,289 yards by the field as they compete for a purse of $9,100,000 and 500 FedEx Cup Points.
The Charles Schwab Challenge has been hosted at Colonial Country Club every year since 1946 and is the longest PGA Tour event to be held annually on the same ground.
Colonial Country Club's course record for 18 holes is 61 shot by seven players. Keith Clearwater first set the record in 1993 as Kevin Na became the seventh player to card in the low round in 2018. Zach Johnson totaled 259 over four rounds in 2010 and holds the record for the lowest 72-hole score at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Designed by Texas local John Bredemus in 1936, Perry Maxwell went on to renovate the course for the 1941 U.S. Open, and has also been credited for the course's iconic design. Colonial Country Club has been nicknamed as "Hogan's Alley," as a tribute to golf legend Ben Hogan. Hogan has won five of his titles at the course.
Renowned for their work on golf course designing in the industry, Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner have worked together to renovate Colonial Country Club ahead of the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge. The designers took inspiration from Perry Maxwell's renovations done for the 1941 U.S. Open that took place at the club and aimed to restore the club's original look from when it was first opened in 1936. The $25 million renovation resulted in the relocation of greens, lowering of elevated greens, removal of bunkers, and aesthetic changes.
