#2 Nick Chubb (Georgia)

There aren't many running backs in the history of college football who have dominated on the field as Nick Chubb has since his freshman year. Nick is currently second in all-time SEC rushing yards.

A four-star recruit out of high school, Chubb committed to the University of Georgia on June 13, 2014. He started his true freshman year as a backup to now Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley. However, 5 games into the 2014 college football season, Gurley was suspended by Georgia over alleged violation of an NCAA rule, paving the way for Chubb to take on the role of starting running back.

Chubb took full advantage and rushed for 1,323 yards at an average of 7.03 yards per carry with 12 touchdowns during Gurley's absence and eventually finished with 1,547 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in his freshman year, including a 266-yard rushing game against Arizona in the Belk Bowl.
In his second season with Georgia, Chubb suffered an ankle injury and could only post 726 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns. He came back stronger in his junior year and rushed for 1,130 yards at 5.0 yards per carry with 8 touchdowns, including a 142-yard rushing game against TCU in the Liberty Bowl.
In 2017, contrary to everyone's expectations, Chubb came back for his senior year and led the Bulldogs to an SEC title, posting 1,175 rushing yards along the way with 13 touchdowns.
Chubb is a unique blend of power, speed and elusiveness. He is very skilled at breaking tackles with his power and keeps his feet moving to churn out more yards after contact is initiated. Chubb looks like a future NFL starter with the ability to be a steady motor for a rushing attack.
