New York Giants running back, Andre Brown, has fractured his leg in last night’s pre-season game against the New England Patriots.
It was initially reported as a broken leg, but according to the New York Daily News, Brown reported that the fracture was “not that bad of a break, a tiny little crack in it.”
Profootballtalk.com reports that, “The more accurate assessment, per a league source with knowledge of the situation, is that Brown will miss 4-6 weeks. Which means that David Wilson will get more opportunities to not fumble.”
This isn’t the first injury Brown has endured, or suffered a broken leg for that matter. Last November, he broke his leg in a game against Green Bay and wasn’t able to return to the remaining regular season games.
For the time being, it leaves the Giants depleted at running back and puts a lot more pressure on the second year running back David Wilson.
We wish Brown a speedy recovery and look forward to his return.
