DOS
- Pick a running back first: It’s essential in fantasy to have a top ten RB to succeed.
- Know your bye weeks, but don’t make it an important part because good teams can afford to suffer one week.
- Make sure you know the makeup of your lineup and your league rules.
- Wait on wide receivers. Very often in the fantasy, a wide receiver will have a big year and often the stars fall off.
- Handcuff your star running back. (i.e. if you have LeSean McCoy, draft Bryce Brown later). This will prevent your team from being at a loss.
- Work the waiver wire. There will always be an available player that helps your team, so stay active.
- Have fun. Don’t go too crazy. Be sure to update your team and check your lineups!

DON’TS
- Don’t get burned by the same player twice. Learn your lesson. (i.e. if you know a player is injury prone – don’t reach for him. Go with your gut).
- Don’t rely on rookies. Most rookies will not produce fantasy numbers that warrant them to start.
- Don’t overvalue your sleepers. If you have a sleeper, wait till the round that fits the value, don’t reach.
- Don’t just pick because of the name. Do your research and see the changes from last season.
- Don’t pick a kicker or defense till the last two rounds, they will be there late, and there’s no need to reach.
- Don’t over-think your lineup. It will cause you to second guess yourself all season. Remember, go with your gut.
- Don’t have a stupid team name.
What are some rules you follow in your league?
