The rookie defensive tackle came into the NFL with lots of energy and a strong competitive edge. The stats don’t do his play justice. Sheldon Richardson’s presence to disrupt the line of scrimmage, stuff the run, or rush the passer, are very impressive for such a young player.

While it’s nice to see rookies get some love, it’s surprising that the Defensive Rookie of the Year did not get more of it. Richardson would echo this sediment on Twitter.
