Wanindu Hasaranga (Player of the Match and Kandy Falcons' captain): It was a good toss to lose, especially on this kind of a wicket. We read the wicket well. Our finishers did extremely well. I think spinners should vary their pace on such surfaces. The 4-5 metre length will be hard to hit.

Mohammad Nabi (Dambulla Sixers' captain): When the conditions demand something from you, you have to respect that and bowl according to that. Hemantha bowled well, yes, but the others did not bowl really well. We should have been better with the ball in hand.

Kandy Falcons sailed to a comfortable victory here and the Dambulla Sixers just could not come to grips with what came their way. The latter will be extremely disappointed with themselves for the way they played in this match, and will hope that they can improve themselves somewhat ahead of their next game.

Kandy, however, covered all bases in this delayed game and made sure that they picked up a convincing win at the end of the evening. Dambulla will want to take a long, hard look at themselves in the mirror and try to make sure that they improve themselves considerably ahead of their next match.

Kandy, nonetheless, will celebrate tonight as they were on fire in all three departments and put up a stupendous show. Dambulla know that they have a lot of things to cover and will want to make sure that they improve upon their spin-playing skills as well. Wanindu Hasaranga ran amok today and troubled them immensely with his impressive variations.
