Ireland won by 6 wickets
Andrew Balbirnie 56(46) | Craig Young 3/31(4) Matthew Cross 35(30) | Chris Sole 3/28(4)
Ireland get home with three deliveries to spare but not without some late drama as they go to the top of the table in this tri-series with just the one match to go in it.
It was much more clinical than what the scoreboard suggests. Ireland were in cruise control throughout the run chase and got the better of their traditional rivals. Openers Balbirnie and Stirling got them off to an ideal start as both the experienced campaigners went about their business without any fuss getting to the 50-run mark within the powerplay.
Stirling was dismissed on a well-made 32 by Greaves in the 8th over and one that it might be an opening for Scotland but Tucker walked in and looked all in control despite getting some streaky runs. Balbirnie continued his work and got to a lovely half-century but was dismissed in the 16th over. Tucker held it from one end towards the end despite a wobble as Sole got two wickets in two balls in the 18th over. There was a spectacular run-out which caught Tucker short of his crease in the last over but then it wasn't simply enough for Scotland.
Scotland gave it their all but the batting from Ireland was much more clinical and professional. The runs on the board were simply not enough to stop Ireland but a great effort from the Scottish in the field not giving up till the end.
19.3 Safyaan Sharif to Gareth Delany, IRELAND FINALLY GET THE WIN AND GO TWO POINTS CLEAR IN THE SERIES! Good length ball on off-and-middle. Knocked on the up to wide mid-on. The batters went through for the single, Delany stretched to get in his crease at the striker's end but the direct hit went missing! So, the single was complete without any further drama!
Gareth Delany, RHB, comes to the crease.
A spectacular direct hit from the sub-fielder keeps the game alive, Tucker goes but he has done the job for his team.
19.2 Safyaan Sharif to George Dockrell, RUN OUT! TUCKER GOES! Back of a length on the legs. Turned around to short fine-leg off the hip. They ran instantly and thought they would make it. But the direct hit then ended his chance as he was found short of the crease by inches at the striker's end!
Lorcan Tucker run out Jarvis (sub) 55 (38b, 5x4, 0x6).
19.1 Safyaan Sharif to George Dockrell, over the wicket, back of a length on off-stump. Bunted back to the bowler by backing away, no run.
