That brings us to the end of our coverage from this ILT20 encounter. A totally one sided contest with MI Emirates winning by 154 runs. We will be back tomorrow with more T20 action tomorrow but for now this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off also on behalf of my fellow commentator Karthik Raj. Goodnight! Adios!
Tom Banton is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: I think I didn't get off to a flyer, the more chance I had staying there gave me the opportunity to cut loose towards the end. Certainly one of those nights where I fought back. Yeah I think being a top order bat in white ball cricket, you have to have a good technique. Look some time you have to read the situation and the wicket before teeing on. Yeah look we have come off the back of two losses. Me and Fletcher just wanted to take it deep. When you have guys like Pollard and Pooran to come you start to get itchy. It's a special night for the MI Emirates but we don't want to take anything lightly.
Nicholas Pooran (MI Emirates captain): Yeah definitely it was pleasing to see. The last two games were tough as a group. Had tough conversrations with the guys and they performed exactly the way we planned. Waseem showed intent and then the partnership between Fletcher and Banton was exceptional. It was tough to drop Akeal. It's tough to leave a guy out like him but he is a team guy and he accepts certain things.
Sam Curran (Desert Vipers Captain): (Feeling on the match) Well, tough night. Get this out of the way and move on. This can happen in T20 cricket. We were a little bit with our fielding and energy. Bants and Fletcher played very well. I think it is such a quick turnaround. We play day after tomorrow. There is no panic, it is about forgetting, learning and moving on. Bants is playing very well, same as Fletcher. It was a fair few over-par, you need a batter to get going immediately in such a scenario. Didn't happen!
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.

MI Emirates won by 154 runs
Tom Banton 105(55) | Alzarri Joseph 3/17(3) Azam Khan 12(11) | Mohammad Amir 1/36(4)
It turned out to be a collapse of epic proportions for the Desert Vipers as they were skittled out by the MI Emirates for runs, thus registering a massive run win. The target of 229 was always going to be a massive task for the Desert Vipers but not many would have predicted them to surrender like the way they did. Fakhar Zaman and Alex Hales came out to open the innings and tried to take the attack to the MI Emirates bowlers.
However Fazalhaq Farooqi and Muhammad Rohid Khan started off brilliantly and didn't allow them to flex their muscles. It eventually brought the downfall of Fakhar followed by the wicket of Alex Hales. Sam Curran started his innings with a couple of effortless drives which fetched him boundaries. Dan Lawrence scored a couple of fours before top edging onto straight to the deep third man fielder.
Wickets just kept falling one after the other, Sam Curran and Adam Hose were the next two to depart as the Vipers were reduced 32/5. There was a 17 run stand between Dhruv Parashar and Azam Khan but that was always going to come in a losing cause. Azam was the next man to depart while Dan Mousley bagged two wickets in his first over including the dangerous Sherfane Rutherford and Dhruv Parshad. Eventually it was Alzarri Joseph and Fazalhaq Farooqi who took the last two wickets to bowl them out for 74 in just 12.3 overs.
That's the end of the match as the Desert Vipers have been bowled out for just 74 runs. A monstrous win for the MI Emirates by 154 runs and has reached number two at the points table. This will be a massive boost to their net run rate. What an exceptional performance from the MI Emirates. This performance will give them a lot of confidence going forward.
12.3 Fazalhaq Farooqi to Khuzaima Bin Tanvir, short and angling in, Khuzaima tries to pull but he misses. Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran throws the ball up in the air and appeals for a caught behind which is turned down by Alex Wharf. Pooran has opted for the DRS here! There is a spike when the ball is on top of the bat. So, the on-field decision has to be over-turned. The Vipers have been rolled over for 74 as MI Emirates wrap up a mammoth 154-run victory!
Khuzaima Bin Tanveer c Nicholas Pooran b Fazalhaq Farooqi 6 (8b, 0x4, 0x6)
12.2 Fazalhaq Farooqi to Khuzaima Bin Tanvir, full and slow on the stumps, Khuzaima looks to push it straight while he gets an outside-edge rolling to backward point. No run.
12.1 Fazalhaq Farooqi to Khuzaima Bin Tanvir, very full outside-off, Khuzaima drives it to mid-off. No run.
Fazalhaq Farooqi [2-0-10-1] is back into the attack.
Another successful over for Alzarri Joseph and we are just one wicket away from an early finish. This has been such a high quality bowling performance from the MI Emirates. The Desert Vipers will look to forget the day very quickly.

11.6 Alzarri Joseph to Nathan Sowter, HOW DID THAT MISS THE STUMPS? Full outside-off, Sowter tries to play an off-drive but he is beaten on the outside-edge while the ball bounces over the stumps!
Nathan Sowter, RHB comes out to the crease at No 11.
11.5 Alzarri Joseph to David Payne, short and angling in, Payne tries to pull but he gloves it to the keeper. Caught-behind appeal not given initially while Pooran under-arms the ball onto the stumps with Payne walking away for a moment. Meanwhile, the umpire gives out for the caught-behind appeal. So, Payne has to depart!
David Payne c Nicholas Pooran b Alzarri Joseph 9 (8b, 0x4, 1x6)
Payne was beaten by the sheer pace of Alzarri Joseph. That's the ninth wicket gone and the West Indies fast bowler is breathing fire. Just one more wicket left before MI Emirates registers a massive victory.
11.4 Alzarri Joseph to Khuzaima Bin Tanvir, short of a length and angling in, Khuzaima steers it through cover-point for a single.
11.3 Alzarri Joseph to Khuzaima Bin Tanvir, full and slow outside-off, Khuzaima drives it to the left of mid-off for a couple of runs.
