That brings us to the end of this Maharaja T20 contest. Till the next time, this is me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) biding adieu.
Karun Nair: Yeah very happy with the win. We had to get over the line as we were playing good cricket. Not really, we just discussed that the execution wasn't up to the mark in the last few games but we were just missing on a few areas or a few balls. Nothing much to be honest. First of all I will like to dedicate the innings to my late grandfather. My dad, my mom and my wife is here. My grandfather was a great supporter of us and I am sure he is looking down upon me proudly. Always been brilliant. Mysore Warriors have a very strong fan base and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart.
Mysore Warriors won by 27 runs (VJD method)
It was an astonishing knock from Karun Nair which helped the Mysore Warriors post a massive score on the board and at the halfway stage it looked a very tall-order for the Mangalore Dragons.
Macneil Noronha and Rohan Patil came out to open the innings but couldn't quite get their side off to the sort of start they needed. However it was Nikin Jose and Krishnamurthy Siddharth who turned it around for a while.
They struck some important boundaries to take the score to 61/2 at the end of the powerplay. However the middle overs were always going to be a challenge for the batters. There was a rain break which pushed them back further. Siddharth went on to score a half century post the break but the target turned out to be a bit too much in the end.
