This is what they often describe in cricket as a "demolition job". The Strikers win by 122 runs and enter the finals with an air of invincibility surrounding them. Most days, 122 is a good score in this format. Here it was the margin of victory.

It was all set up by that amazing knock from Amjad. He connected almost everything in the meat of the bat and cleared the boundary 32 times. 25 sixes and 7 fours. And it is not as if he was looking to slog everything. Most of his shots were proper cricketing strokes.

The result seemed like a forgone conclusion at the mid innings break and it was almost sealed when the Stallions lost 3 wickets within the powerplay itself. Albeit, Ankur Patel's knock got them to a decent score, it eventually looks tiny in front of the Everest piled on by the Strikers.
