The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series began in 1995 and is NASCAR's top truck racing league and the third level of national series, aside from the Cup and Xfinity Series. The series was created to bring stock car racing into a new style by using modified pickup trucks. From then on, it earned many loyal fans. The Truck Series is known for its fast action and technical racing. It includes a mix of experienced drivers, new talents, and sometimes drivers from other types of racing. The series mainly holds races on medium-sized oval, short tracks, and dirt tracks. This creates a different racing schedule compared to other NASCAR series. At first, it was sponsored by Craftsman Tools. Over time, it has had different names. It was also named the Camping World Truck Series and the Gander Outdoors Truck Series. As of 2023, the name reverted to Craftsman. This was a tribute to its past and paid respect to its history and what NASCAR wanted to maintain sponsorships. Recently, the show has had some great technologies, new safety rules, and the training of young drivers who are groomed to become future racing stars.
The 2024 season was a significant year for the Truck Series. Ty Majeski won his first championship, showing his steadiness and talent during the season. Majeski's success in the championship showed how much he had improved as a racer, especially after being second in the 2023 standings. Another key event was Hailie Deegan leaving, one of the series' most popular drivers, who moved to the Xfinity Series with AM Racing in 2024. Her change shows how the Truck Series helps young drivers grow and move up in NASCAR. Moving into 2025, the series will see high-profile additions that are going to bring it a lot of attention. It already features the likes of actor Frankie Muniz, best known for his starring role in Malcolm in the Middle, and who will run full-time for Reaume Brothers Racing.

Layne Riggs, a rookie with Front Row Motorsports, took the Rookie of the Year title, and Rajah Caruth won the Most Popular Driver award. Other drivers of note in the 2024 season were Zane Smith, Carson Hocevar, and Corey Heim, who competed for the front row.
