The NFL Pro Bowl gathers the best players in the National Football League. This is typically a stacked event, which is equivalent to an all-star game played on the gridiron. However, the Pro Bowl has lost its appeal over the years, as top players found reasons to skip out of the festivities.
The league noticed this and decided to build a task force to implement changes that could bring back the appeal to the NFL Pro Bowl. As such, the Pro Bowl has a new format that would entice players and fans to tune in to the big game. After years of mediocre returns with the typical Pro Bowl, the NFL has finally changed the Pro Bowl format, opting for a week's worth of games followed by a flag-football matchup between the two conferences.
So now, instead of a full-on football game where injuries could be risked, the NFL has opted for a flag football game with a sprinkle of extra activities. Pro Bowl selections remain, and players can still add that to their resumes. Speaking of selections, here are the full rosters for this year's Pro Bowl.

The 2023 NFL Pro Bowl alternates
Alternates for the Pro Bowl have been announced, as well. Each team in the league has several alternates. However, these alternates will only play if a Pro Bowl selection cannot participate in the Pro Bowl game. Hence, both AFC and NFC Conference alternates will be announced a few days before the Pro Bowl.
2023 NFL Pro Bowl Game coaches
The NFL Pro Bowl has seen a format change; the coaches will be around for a week rather than a single day. This change will see two new faces added to the festivities. The Manning brothers will handle coaching duties for the 2023 NFL Pro Bowl. Peyton Manning will be coaching the AFC Conference, while the younger Manning, Eli, will be coaching the NFC Conference. This is the closest thing we'd get to a Super Bowl finals between the illustrious brothers.
