Adam Thielen's 2023 release from the Minnesota Vikings was one of the sadder departures in recent franchise history, as the local-born player had risen from UDFA to (briefly) one of the best wideouts in the league. The Carolina Panthers seemingly gave him a career resurrection, as he posted his first thousand-yarder in a while despite being on a historically bad team.

But halfway through the 2024 season, the franchise has changed. First-overall pick Bryce Young has been benched. Diontae Johnson, who had been traded for in this offseason, is now a Baltimore Raven.
