The Kansas City Chiefs are 6-1, once again proving to be one of the absolute best teams in the NFL. They have very few holes on their roster, and the holes they do have are covered by good players elsewhere and by exceptional coaching. Nevertheless, they can stand to improve.
The trade deadline is a prime opportunity for teams like Kansas City to get good players from teams who aren't contending and want assets. It costs them in the future, but it is worth it to go all in on the Super Bowl. Here's what the Chiefs need now.

3) Defensive line

Aside from Chris Jones, the Chiefs don't have a lot in the way of defensive linemen. It's one of the weakest units on the field, but Jones makes up for a lot of the gaps. Adding help for him and depth up front is key for the playoffs, where games are often won and lost in the trenches. Someone like Brian Burns from the Carolina Panthers or Chase Young of the Washington Commanders would be a huge asset.
2) Cornerback
The Kansas City Chiefs defense isn't that bad, but it can be stronger. One of the position groups where that is true is in the secondary, most notably at cornerback. L'Jarius Sneed and Trent McDuffie are fine players, but this is easily a place the Chiefs need to add talent. There's not a lot of premier cornerbacks available, but someone like Jaylon Johnson from the Chicago Bears, or Panthers' cornerback Donte Jackson could be of interest to Kansas City.
1) Wide receiver
The only issue on offense is that the Chiefs' wide receivers are highly unreliable. Kadarius Toney, Rashee Rice, and Skyy Moore are not exactly household names, and they've already proven to be unreliable this year. The Chiefs' lone loss arguably came because Toney and Moore couldn't catch the ball at all in the opener, a one-point loss to the Detroit Lions.
Addressing this issue, whether it's with a massive move for Davante Adams or with a smaller trade for Hunter Renfrow, a trade for a WR would be a good move.
