Rob Gronkowski has already retired from the NFL once, and he could do it again this year. He recently said that he is still debating whether or not he is going to play next season, but if he had to make the decision right now, his career would be done.
Many believe that Gronkowski's decision on whether or not he will keep playing is going to be tied to what Tom Brady does. It appears unlikely that he would play in the 2022 NFL season if Brady opts to retire. Even if Brady does play, there is a possibility that Gronkowski might still decide to retire for a second and final time.
#3 - Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers' future has a ton of question marks around it, as he is reportedly unhappy with the Packers organization. Last offseason, he threatened to sit out the 2021 campaign if he wasn't traded. Ultimately, that didn't happen, and he ended up playing for the Packers this season, but it's unclear if any of the underlying issues were resolved.
Rodgers enters the 2022 NFL offseason as a bit of a wild card, with nobody really being able to say what he's going to do. The Packers would love to keep him, but he did say, prior to the 2021 NFL season, that it would be his last in Green Bay. If the Packers are unwilling to trade him and he refuses to play for them, retirement would be an option for Rodgers.
