Jalen Hurts' Philadelphia Eagles are back in the NFC Championship once again. After falling short last season, the team is on the precipice of getting back to the Big Game for the first time since Jalen Hurts lost to Patrick Mahomes in 2023. While the team has been impressive, there are plenty of questions surrounding some of their biggest stars.

Put simply, just because a player is a starter for a team in the NFC Championship doesn't mean they automatically deserve every compliment thrown their way. Here are three of the most overrated players on the Eagles' roster.

#3 - AJ Brown, WR

AJ Brown has seen plenty of good times with the Philadelphia Eagles, but 2024 was not a year to remember. Headlines about potential drama with the quarterback, missed time and a lower output this year compared to last year raises questions about one of the most reliable players on the team since the blockbuster trade from the Tennessee Titans.

Brown has a chance to get back on track as a player still in his prime, but it starts with a big game on Sunday. Brown earned 67 catches for 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns this season, down from 106 catches for 1456 yards and seven touchdowns.

#2 - Dallas Goedert, TE

As a member of the Eagles since 2018, and considering how the team has done, fans would jump at the chance to lump Goedert in with DeVonta Smith and AJ Brown. However, the tight end has been trending down for a while and this is the worst version of him since his rookie season.

He's had a memorable career for the organization, but the team should start considering what the future looks like at the TE position.

#1 - Jalen Hurts, QB

If one were to compare Jalen Hurts' 2024 production to any other year, it would most closely match up to his first full starting season for the organization in 2021. This regular season, Hurts threw for 18 touchdowns and five interceptions, a ratio far below what a typical stat line looks like for a quarterback.

By comparison, Caleb Williams threw for 20 touchdowns and six interceptions. That might seem decent for Williams as a rookie, but the touchdown total does not scream 'Super Bowl quarterback' for Hurts.

"What about the 14 rushing touchdowns," some might argue. Most of those came on the Tush Push, so how much credit does Hurts truly deserve for getting pushed into the endzone?
