#1. Javon Baker
The Patriots selected Baker in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL draft. During his introductory press conference with the Patriots, the wideout said he makes “people in wheelchairs stand up,” while referring to his electric game. Baker was tipped to have a breakout year as a rookie, but instead, struggled to adapt to the pro league.
Baker featured in 11 games and recorded just 12 yards on one reception. His sole catch came in the season finale against the Buffalo Bills.
The wideout's lean output didn't help New England's offense, which led to some fingers being pointed at Baker. There are suggestions that the Patriots could part ways with Baker in this year's offseason.
#2. Jacoby Brissett
Brissett signed for the Patriots in the 2024 offseason, for his second stint, and was named as the team's starting quarterback. However, by early October, he was benched in favor of rookie Drake Maye.
Brissett finished the season with an underwhelming 826 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception in eight appearances. It remains to be seen whether the quarterback will remain at the franchise next season.
#3. Ja'Lynn Polk
The Patriots selected Polk in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft. The wideout posted a mere 87 yards and two touchdowns on 12 receptions across 15 games. Polk missed the Week 18 game against the Bills due to a should injury and was placed on the IR.
Apart from his two scores, the receiver didn't offer much in the Pats offense. He arrived in New England with a high reputation after finishing as a CFP national championship runner up with Washington. It's safe to say that he didn't live up to the expectations of the Patriots fans.
