49ers star ready to bet it all on Chiefs winning Super Bowl LVII

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is confident the Kansas City Chiefs will beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

Aiyuk went on the record and said that if he were to bet on this game, he would take everything he owns, cash it in and put the money on the Chiefs.

Aiyuk said via TheSFNiners:

"If I were going to bet on this game, I would take everything that I own, get it in cash, and put my money on the Kansas City Chiefs."

Contrary to Aiyuk's bold prediction, the Eagles are currently -1.5 point favorites over the Chiefs. The game will be much closer than what Aiyuk thinks, with the possibility of either team coming out on top. Aiyuk's opinion could be swayed due to the fact that the Eagles dominated the 49ers in the NFC Championship, 31-7.

While the Eagles cruised past the 49ers to advance to the Super Bowl, Aiyuk thinks that the Eagles got a break and got lucky.

He also thinks that the Chiefs will expose their pass defense the way that they thought they were going to.

Aiyuk said:

“I don’t know fully about that defense. They talk about them being a good defense I’m not sure. I think this Kansas City pass game will expose what we thought we were going to expose before some unfortunate circumstances. They got extremely lucky."

While the score was a blowout, Aiyuk was right in the fact that the Eagles did get a little bit of luck on their side.

In the first quarter, they scored on 4th-and-3 on a touchdown pass to wide receiver Devonta Smith, who appeared to not control the ball while he was on the ground. The refs missed Smith's loss of control of the ball during the touchdown review, and the Eagles were granted a touchdown.

The biggest blow for the 49ers was losing both of their quarterbacks in the game.

Brock Purdy suffered a UCL tear and left the game. Backup quarterback Josh Johnson suffered a concussion in the third quarter and wasn't able to return to the game. The 49ers turned back to Purdy, who had only thrown a total of four times in the entire game.
