The San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys have fallen short of expectations this season, and as the midseason draws near, both clubs will be eager for a victory when they meet each other on Sunday to keep their hopes of making the playoffs alive.
Coming off an open week, the Cowboys hope to enjoy a fitness advantage over the 49ers in their upcoming game. The Cowboys fell to the Detroit Lions by 38 points in their last game before the bye week.
Following a Week 7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Niners are now 3-4 on the season, and they face further challenges as the team will be without a number of key offensive players, including Christian McCaffrey and Brandon Aiyuk, who have been sidelined by injuries.
As they get ready to play on Sunday night, let's review the injury updates from both teams.

San Francisco 49ers injury report
The San Francisco 49ers will be without two of their wide receivers, Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings, on Sunday night when they host the Dallas Cowboys.
Aiyuk suffered an ACL/MCL tear last week and has been ruled out for the rest of the season, while Jennings is suffering from a hip injury that has already caused him to miss a game.
The Niners' final injury report, which was made public on Friday, listed four players as questionable: defensive back Deommodore Lenoir (illness), wide receiver Deebo Samuel (wrist/illness), tight end George Kittle (foot) and safety George Odum (knee).
Kicker Jake Moody (ankle) and defensive lineman Kevin Givens (groin) have also been declared out for San Francisco's Sunday home game.
Dallas Cowboys injury report
Four players have been ruled out for the Dallas Cowboys' Week 8 game against the San Francisco 49ers, including defensive standouts DaRon Bland (foot) and Micah Parsons (ankle). Tight end John Stephens Jr. (knee) and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (wrist) will also be unavailable.
Three more Dallas players have been labeled as questionable: linebacker Nick Vigil (foot), cornerback Caelen Carson (shoulder) and linebacker Eric Kendricks (shoulder).
Deebo Samuel injury update
Deebo Samuel was hospitalized earlier in the week due to pneumonia. He returned to the practice field on Thursday and Friday as a limited participant after leaving the hospital on Tuesday.
On Friday, Samuel, who has been deemed questionable to play in Week 8, also gave an update on his health.
"Honestly, like, I really couldn't breathe, for real," Samuel replied when he was asked about the illness. "I didn't really know what was wrong until after the game.”
According to reports, Samuel might play on Sunday, but if he doesn't, Ricky Pearsall and Jacob Cowing would be given more offensive responsibilities for the Niners.
Jauan Jennings injury update
Due to a hip ailment, wide receiver Jauan Jennings will not play for the San Francisco 49ers against the Dallas Cowboys after missing last week's game.
With Brandon Aiyuk now out for the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL and MCL, Jennings will have an opportunity to play a regular role in the Niners offense when he recovers from his hip injury.
Micah Parsons injury update
There were expectations that the Dallas Cowboys' defense would have edge rusher Micah Parsons back from injury after the team's open week. Unfortunately, Parsons won't be available for the team's Sunday night game against the Niners.
Dallas officially declared Parsons out of the game on Friday because of a high-ankle injury that has kept him out since Week 4.
