The San Francisco 49ers got off to a winning start in Week 1, but a lackluster performance in Week 2 lead to a loss against the Minnesota Vikings. In the game against Minnesota, the Niners were without star running back Christian McCaffrey because he had a calf and Achilles injury, and also lost star wide receiver Deebo Samuel to a calf injury during the game.
The Niners are in a difficult spot with injuries, but the same can be said about Week 3 opponents, the Los Angeles Rams.
Let's take a look at the players battling injuries for both teams ahead of the Week 3 game on Sunday.

San Francisco 49ers' injury report for Week 3
All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey will not play against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday after the San Francisco 49ers placed him on the Injured Reserve list due to an Achilles injury.
Additionally, wide receiver Deebo Samuel has already been ruled out of Sunday's contest with a calf injury. The players included in the team's injury report prior to Week 3 are listed below:
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel, calf injury - OUT
Tight end George Kittle, hamstring - DOUBTFUL
Defensive end Nick Bosa, rib - QUESTIONABLE
Cornerback Charvarius Ward, hamstring and knee - QUESTIONABLE
George Kittle's injury update
In San Francisco 49ers' latest injury report on Friday, the status of star tight end George Kittle was listed as doubtful to play in Week 3 because of a hamstring issue.
Kittle first surfaced on the team's injury report earlier in the week when he was listed as questionable to play. He is now categorized by the Niners as doubtful, therefore it is very unlikely that he will play on Sunday against the Rams.
Nick Bosa's injury update
Nick Bosa was added to the San Francisco 49ers' injury report on Thursday due to a rib ailment that limited him throughout practice. At the team's Friday press conference, head coach Kyle Shanahan stated that Bosa's injury occurred during a one-on-one routine play during practice and that he is questionable to play on Sunday.
Similar to Bosa, CB Charvarius Ward is questionable to play in Week 3 due to both a hamstring and a knee injury. There's a chance he plays, though, considering he was limited on Friday.
Los Angeles Rams' injury report for Week 3
It should come as no surprise that wide receiver Cooper Kupp has been officially ruled out for Week 3. On Friday, tight end Davis Allen was also ruled out.
Below is the Rams' full injury report for Week 3:
Tight End Davis Allen (back) - OUT
Wide Receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) - OUT
Defensive Tackle Bobby Brown (ankle) - QUESTIONABLE
Cornerback Cobie Durant (toe) - QUESTIONABLE
Kicker Joshua Karty (groin) - QUESTIONABLE
Cooper Kupp's injury update
Cooper Kupp suffered a high ankle injury last weekend, in a game against the Arizona Cardinals. The star receiver will reportedly be in a cast for sometime, to help reduce swelling.
Head coach Sean McVay has stated that Kupp's injury won't end his season and won't require surgery, even though he won't play in Week 3. Additionally, since Kupp could make a comeback in the next four weeks, he won't be placed on injured reserve.
