David Bakhtiari is one of the NFL's most unlucky figures in recent memory. During the second half of the 2010's, he established himself as one of the best left tackles in football, facilitating the Aaron Rodgers-Davante Adams connection with his blocks that prevented pass rushers from getting even just a touch on his quarterback.
Then, on December 31, 2020, he tore his ACL during practice. He would play just 23 games in the next three seasons before being released in March this year.
However, Bakhtiari is not retiring. He recently told ESPN's Adam Schefter:
![march madness logo](http://staticg.sportskeeda.com/skm/assets/march-madness-logo.png)
"My goal right now is just to make sure that I not only fully recover but I can withstand and play the game that I want to play but also play and be there for a team no matter what. I'm not a reliever guy, I am your cornerstone guy. Someone that's not only going to play in September but in December and into February and obviously hopefully for another couple of years."

The Minnesota Vikings already have a Pro Bowl tackle in Brian O'Neill, but he is more of right-sider. The left side could use an upgrade as it transitions to the JJ McCarthy era.
Thus, they could turn to their former rival to get the job done. Additionally, such a move will represent a reunion with running back Aaron Jones, who was Bakhtiari's teammate in Green Bay.
4) New England Patriots

If the New England Patriots want Drake Maye to become their new face, they need a top-shelf blocker for him.
Right now, their offensive line leaves much to be desired. With Trent Brown off to the Cincinnati Bengals, they need someone to man their new quarterback's blind side.
Coudl David Bakhtiari be that man? He has the experience and winning mentality to do so.
3) Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys lost top blindside protector Tyron Smith to the New York Jets during the free agency scramble. They are now planning to entrust that job to rookie Tyler Guyton, but he needs much mentorship first.
Bakhtiari provides that, and so much more. He adds star power to a cast that saw some major departures and not much in the way of meaningful additions.
2 ) Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels seems to be the best quarterback the Washington Commanders have had since their Super Bowl glory days. He is a dual-threat machine who can embarrass opponents with either his arm or his feet.
But for such greatness to happen, the team needs to bolster its offensive line. They actually already did so by ading center Tyler Biadasz and guard Nick Allegretti, but fixing the blind side is an utmost opportunity. And one man is the perfect choice for this task: none other than David Bakhtiari.
1) New York Giants

The New York Giants have a major offensive problem. Their unit allowed the most sacks in 2023, at 85. If they want Daniel Jones to stay long with the team, they need a proven protector for him.
Enter David Bakhtiari. Despite his recent injury history, he is a proven commodity who is leagues above any of the Giants' current linemen. And Jones will highly appreciate it.
