The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the dominant teams in recent years, and are one of the favorites to retain the Super Bowl when the new NFL season gets underway in September.
They have had a history of drafting their star pieces, including Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, so you have to give their scouting department plenty of credit.
However, there have also been plenty of instances where they got it wrong, and the player they drafted ended up being a total bust in the NFL.

Kansas City Chiefs biggest NFL Draft busts
#5 Sylvester Morris
KC selected wide receiver Sylvester Morris with the 21st overall selection in the 2000 NFL draft, and he hauled in 48 catches for 678 yards and three scores during his rookie year.

But that was it for Morris in the NFL, as he never played again after his rookie year, despite being in the league until 2004.
#4 Breeland Speaks
The Chiefs selected Ole Miss DE Breeland Speaks in round two of the 2018 NFL Draft, but he was cut before the 2020 season.
Speaks missed time through injury, as well as being banned for four games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Since then, Speaks has bounced around practice squads across the league and recently joined the Michigan Panthers in the USFL.
#3 Trezelle Jenkins
Back in 1995, Kansas City were looking to sure up their offensive line, so used the 31st pick to draft left tackle Trezelle Jenkins out of Michigan.
However, Jenkins didn't pan out in KC, as he only played in nine games for the team before being cut. He failed to see the field with the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings, and failed to make the roster of the San Francisco Demons in the XFL.
#2 Ryan Sims
KC took DT Ryan Sims with the sixth-overall pick of the 2002 NFL Draft, and while he stook around with the team for five seasons, he never lived up to expectations.
Sims only amassed 8.5 sacks with the Chiefs, and was traded to the Saints after the 2006 season.
#1 Todd Blackledge
Arguably the biggest draft bust in Kansas City Chiefs history is quarterback Todd Blackledge.
The Chiefs took Blackledge with the seventh-overall pick in the 1983 draft, but he only threw for 5,286 yards with 29 touchdowns and 38 interceptions during his entire career with both the Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers in 46 games.
Worse still, they drafted Blackledge ahead of future Hall of Famers Dan Marino and Jim Kelly.
Blackledge was the last QB the Chiefs took in the first round until they drafted Patrick Mahomes in round one in 2017.
