The fantasy football season is over halfway done, and Week 10 again gave us some surprising outcomes.
With some of the best fantasy football assets from 2023 — including Tyreek Hill and Travis Etienne - not living up to expectations, fantasy football managers must look to the waiver wire to grab league winners.
Many of Week 10's surprising stars are still available on waivers and will be high-priority pickups going into next week's action.
Biggest Fantasy Football surprises from Week 10
#5 - Chuba Hubbard

Despite the Carolina Panthers (3-7) activating Jonathon Brooks on the roster for the first time ahead of their matchup versus the New York Giants (2-8) in Germany, Chuba Hubbard continues flourishing as the team's starting running back.
Hubbard totaled 169 yards on 32 total touches in a mammoth workload during their Week 10 20-17 overtime win over the Giants. His 24.9 PPR points were good enough for RB2 on the week only behind Falcons RB Bijan Robinson.
Brooks may have some part of this offense when healthy, but at least Hubbard will likely be the Panthers's starter for the remainder of 2024.
#4 - New England Patriots D/ST
The New England Patriots's D/ST had an excellent day in Week 10, racking 16 points in their 19-3 win over the Chicago Bears (4-5).
As underdogs heading into the game, the Patriots (3-7) had nine sacks on rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, while the Bears's offensive line fell apart.
It's not a great option as we advance, but this was a pleasantly surprising outing for New England's defense and special teams.
#3 - Will Levis
Many NFL fans mocked Will Levis's start to his 2024 season after some comical errors, but he was excellent in Week 10 versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
Despite the Titans (2-7) falling 17-27 to the Chargers (6-3), Levis totaled 19.1 fantasy points (his best score of the year) after passing for 175 yards and 2 TDs while adding 41 yards on the ground. He ended the week as QB9 ahead of Patrick Mahomes and C.J. Stroud.
A solid streaming option if you're needy at quarterback, Levis has an excellent fantasy football playoff schedule.
#2 - Tylan Wallace
In the blockbuster matchup between the Ravens (7-3) and Bengals (4-6), Baltimore WR Tylan Wallace was the standout pass-catcher after going for 115 yards and a touchdown on just three receptions.
His longest catch was an 84-yard short catch he took to the house in the Ravens's 35-34 Cincinnati triumph on Thursday Night Football. Wallace ended the week as WR5 ahead of Puka Nacua and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
These catches were his first since Week 5, and his low snap percentage doesn't make him a viable fantasy football option moving forward.
With Derek Carr missing pass catchers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, veteran Marquez Valdes-Scantling stepped up with a monster game for the Saints (3-7) in the 20-17 Week 10 win against the Atlanta Falcons (6-4).
Valdes-Scantling caught three passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns, totaling 25.9 PPR points, which was good enough for the WR2 this week.
This came just one week after Valdes-Scantling totaled 1.5 PPR points in the Saints's 22-23 loss to the Carolina Panthers, meaning he's a volatile fantasy football asset moving forward - but should see more playing time due to New Orleans's injury woes at the position.
