5. Tua Tagovailoa, Quarterback - Miami Dolphins
- 2023 NFL Top 100: 82
- 2024 NFL Top 100: 36
Tua Tagovailoa enjoyed a career year in 2023. The Miami Dolphins quarterback put up a stat line of 4,624 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He led the NFL in passing yards and earned the first Pro Bowl appearance of his career.
Tagovailoa jumped a remarkable 46 spots from his 82nd rank in the 2023 Top 100 List. He is ranked 36th in the 2024 Top 100 List.
Tua Tagovailoa will be poised to make even more progress in 2024, as he is throwing passes to the number one ranked player on the Top 100, Tyreek Hill.
4. Rashan Gary, Defensive End - Green Bay Packers
- 2023 NFL Top 100: Unranked
- 2024 NFL Top 100: 50
Green Bay Packers defensive end Rashan Gary did not crack the 2023 Top 100 List. The Michigan then proceeded to put up a stat line of 44 tackles, nine sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries to earn his spot on the 2024 List.
Rashan Gary comes in ranked 50 on the 2024 List and is one of two Green Bay Packers that star on this year's list. He will be poised to help the franchise reach another deep postseason run.
3. Antoine Winfield Jr., Safety - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- 2023 NFL Top 100: Unranked
- 2024 NFL Top 100: 46
Antoine Winfield Jr. was one of the most notable snubs from the 2023 NFL Top 100 List. Winfield Jr. responded to the snub by recording a career year in 2023, amassing a stat line of 122 tackles, six sacks, six forced fumbles and three interceptions.
Winfield Jr.'s efforts have been rewarded with a No. 46 ranking on the NFL 100 list. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety is one of the league's best defenders and will only get better in the coming seasons.
2. Jordan Love, Quarterback - Green Bay Packers
- 2023 NFL Top 100: Unranked
- 2024 NFL Top 100: 34
Jordan Love's journey as a backup quarterback on the Green Bay Packers is well documented. Of course, Love wasn't included in last year's Top 100 List, as he was still firmly behind Aaron Rodgers on the Packers depth chart.
However, following Rodgers' departure to the New York Jets, Love took his chance. The Utah State product put up a stat line of 4,159 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 picks in his first year as a starter.
His peers took note and voted him the 34th-best player in the league. Love will be aiming for an even better 2024, potentially taking the Packers to the mountaintop in the NFC.
1. Penei Sewell, Tackle - Detroit Lions
- 2023 NFL Top 100: Unranked
- 2024 NFL Top 100: 22
Penei Sewell was one of the bigger snubs in the 2023 Top 100 List. The Detroit Lions tackle was part of Dan Campbell's revolution and was fresh off his first Pro Bowl nod.
Sewell seems to have taken the snub personally and recorded the most impactful year of his career. He earned first-team All-Pro honors for his efforts and a No.22 spot on the 2024 Top 100 List.
Sewell is key to how the Detroit Lions' offense works, and he'll be vital as the Lions look to go one (or two) better than their 2023 postseason run.
