One of the biggest keys to finding sustained success in Dynasty Fantasy Football leagues is capitalizing on the trade market. Unlike traditional season-long formats that allow teams to draft a new team every year, Dynasty leagues require managers to work with their same roster over several years.
Much like a general manager of a real NFL team, it's crucial to find a balance of winning now and building for the future at the same time when constructing a roster. This creates a potential opportunity to sell high on certain players in trade situations that are likely to be overvalued, despite a projected drop in production.
Flipping a player when their value is the highest in return for potentially more valuable future assetts can often be a winning strategy. Here are five wide receivers who qualify as sell-high trade candidates ahead of the 2024 Fantasy Football season.

#1 - Michael Pittman Jr.
Michael Pittman Jr. is coming off of his best season with the Indianapolis Colts, setting career-highs with 109 receptions and 1,152 yards. While he should remain their WR1 this year, the emergence of Josh Downs and drafting of Adonai Mitchell could eat into his target share. A healthy Anthony Richardson is also likely to run the ball much more, making Pittman a sell in 2024 Fantasy Football at his current value.
#2 - Brandon Aiyuk
Brandon Aiyuk has increased his total production during every season with the San Francisco 49ers so far. The issue is that it only resulted in four finishes among the top 20 wide receivers last year. He is also rumored to be seeking a trade, so depending upon which team he plays for next season could drastically impact his usage. His risks make him worth trading now and cashing in on his perceived value in fantasy football.
#3 - Nico Collins
Nico Collins exploded for a career-best year by a wide margin with the Houston Texans last season. He recorded more receptions, yards and touchdowns in 2023 than he had in the previous two seasons combined. The issue for this year is that the Texans added Stefon Diggs, and if Tank Dell can remain healthy, Collins will have much more competition for targets this season.
#4 - Jordan Addison
Jordan Addison turned in an excellent rookie season with the Minnesota Vikings, totaling 70 receptions for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns. Part of the reason for this may have been that Justin Jefferson missed significant time with an injury. His return could eat into Addison's targets, and with JJ McCarthy replacing Kirk Cousins, the Vikings' offensive production as a whole could potentially decrease.
#5 - Cooper Kupp
Cooper Kupp turned in arguably the best wide receiver season in NFL history when he won the coveted receiving triple crown in 2021. This helped propel him to being one of the top fantasy football targets in each of the past two seasons, but he appears to be a major risk for 2024. His concerning injury history and age are among the reasons why, as well as Puka Nacua likely taking over as the Los Angeles Rams' new WR1 this year.
