#3 - Los Angeles Rams vs. Kansas City Chiefs - 105 points

The most recent NFL game to make it into the top five highest scoring of all time was a 2018 shootout between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams. It featured high-powered offenses from head coaches Andy Reid and Sean McVay (respectively).

They are two of the best offensive head coaches still in the NFL today.

Patrick Mahomes threw for six touchdowns in this NFL game. His two biggest weapons, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, both had huge days.

They combined for 20 receptions and 342 yards with three touchdowns. Jared Goff threw for four touchdowns of his own and ran for another one as well, the only rushing touchdown by either team.

#2 - Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals - 106 points

The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Cleveland Browns by a score of 58-48 in 2008 to combine for the second-most points in a single NFL game of all time. Quarterbacks Carson Palmer and Kelly Holcomb combined for nine touchdowns and five interceptions.

The top performer of the game was Bengals running back Rudi Johnson. He filled the stat sheet, carrying the ball 26 times for 202 yards and two touchdowns in the best NFL game of his career.

#1 - New York Giants vs. Washington Redskins - 113 points

The highest scoring NFL game in history was more than 50 years ago in 1966 between the New York Giants and the then Washington Redskins. It is also the most lopsided game in the top five by far.

Washington put up a massive 72 points complared to 41 by the Giants.

It was a balanced attack by Washington, with quarterback Sonny Jurgensen throwing three touchdowns and the team rushing for another four touchdowns. The Washington defense registered five total interceptions compared to zero thrown by Jurgensen.
