Star quarterback for the Washington Redskins, Joe Theismann suffered a brutal end to his NFL career on Monday Night Football, back in 1985. Sacked by Lawrence Taylor, Joe ended up with a broken leg as a result of the crushing tackle. With his bone stuck out, it remains as one of the most gruesome sights on national television till date.
