The Buffalo Bills are the other team, along with the Arizona Cardinals, that has both a top-five scoring offense and scoring defense. The Bills have been one of the best teams in the NFL over the last couple of years, making it to the AFC championship game last season.
This year they will try to take it another step further and reach the Super Bowl for the first time in over 25 years. Head coach Sean McDermott could cement himself as a Buffalo legend by helping to get them their first Super Bowl title in their long franchise history.
#2 - Sean McVay, Los Angeles Rams
Head coach Sean McVay has already been to a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, but he has not won one yet. He was defeated by head coach Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots in his first appearance. That was with Jared Goff at quarterback but he has now been upgraded to Matthew Stafford.
The NFC is very top-heavy this season. There appear to be five elite teams in the conference, with the Rams being one of them. They started the 2021 NFL season before their three-game losing streak by winning seven of their first eight games.
#1 - Kyle Shanahan, San Francisco 49ers
Head coach Kyle Shanahan of the San Francisco 49ers has also appeared in a Super Bowl but has not yet won one. He lost to head coach Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs in his only appearance.
The 49ers are making a late surge this year to get themselves back into contention. After a four-game losing streak, they have now won four of their last five games entering Week 13, including an active three-game winning streak.
