The 2024 NFL season is just around the corner, and there are some interesting candidates to win the Comeback Player of the Year. Following an interesting offseason, some top athletes have moved teams in search of reviving their careers, while a few others are planning a resurgence in the upcoming season.
On that note, here are some players looking to make a solid comeback in the 2024 season.
Five NFL players aiming for comeback season in 2024
#1 Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers made the switch to the New York Jets last season, after playing 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

It was arguably the biggest offseason move. While there was a lot of hype around Rodgers before the 2023 NFL season, the quarterback suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1.
Now, Rodgers will aim to make a solid comeback in 2024 with the Jets. The four-time MVP hasn't played in preseason but will start for New York in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 9.
#2 Russell Wilson
Wilson signed for the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason after two rather underwhelming years with the Denver Broncos. The nine-time Pro Bowler will look to save his legacy at Pittsburgh.
Wilson, who won the Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks in 2014, also isn't getting any younger. The 2024 season is likely to be his final chance to impress, so he needs to grab the opportunity with both hands.
#3 Joe Burrow
Burrow won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2021. However, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback is eyeing another resurgence in the upcoming season after playing only 10 games last year due to a season-ending wrist injury.
Burrow, who led the Bengals to the Super Bowl in 2022, remains a key playerfor the franchise. It will be interesting to see how he bounces back from last year's injury.
#4 Kirk Cousins
Cousins signed for the Atlanta Falcons this offseason. The veteran quarterback will undergo a new challenge with a new franchise in his 13th NFL season.
Last season, his campaign with the Minnesota Vikings was cut short due to an Achilles injury. For the 2024 season, the signal-caller will want to make a strong start to his career in Atlanta.
#5 Anthony Richardson
Richardson has been the talk of the town for the Indianapolis Colts heading into the 2024 NFL season. The quarterback's rookie season in 2023 was marred with injuries, as he made only four appearances.
He will hope to make a strong comeback in the upcoming season. The signal-caller showed glimpses of brilliance last year and will look to remain injury-free throughout the campaign.
