NFL teams will soon begin their offseason workouts. However, the upcoming draft will surely play host to a frenzy of trade activity.

While some franchises will look to invest in young talent, a handful of trades could involve veteran players.

Here, we look at five receivers who could demand a midseason trade during the 2023 campaign.

#1. Jerry Jeudy - Denver Broncos

Jerry Jeudy had an excellent 2022 NFL season with the Denver Broncos. This was despite quarterback Russell Wilson struggling in his first campaign with the team.

Jeudy caught six touchdowns last season, the most among any Broncos player. He added 1,012 all-purpose yards and looked like the most threatening offensive player on the Denver roster.

However, if Wilson continues to struggle in the upcoming season, it wouldn't be surprising for Jeudy to hand in a trade request.

#2. DeAndre Hopkins - Arizona Cardinals

DeAndre Hopkins made an immediate impact for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2022 NFL season as soon as he was available for selection. The five-time Pro Bowler still ended up catching 64 passes for 717 yards and three touchdowns across nine games.

However, the Cardinals were unable to qualify for the playoffs as they finished with a torrid 4-13 record. It now remains to be seen whether the franchise will make moves in the offseason to bolster their squad in order to push for glory.

Arizona's lack of ambition could prompt Hopkins to put in a trade request if they continue to carry on in poor fashion next season.

#3. Mike Evans - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Evans was the best receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL last season. The 29-year-old put up 1,124 yards and six touchdowns, helping his team clinch their divisional title.

However, following Tom Brady's retirement, Evans may look to move towards greener pastures in 2023. The four-time Pro Bowler is also in his final year with the Buccaneers.

If new Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield struggles to adapt to his new surroundings next season, we could see Evans hand in a trade request.

#4. Davante Adams - Las Vegas Raiders (Two-time NFL receiving touchdowns leader)

Davante Adams moved to the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2022 off-season. While he enjoyed a fabulous individual season, his team failed to reach the playoffs.

Adams racked up a season-high 14 touchdowns in his debut season with the Raiders. However, reports suggest that Derek Carr's departure may hamper the receiver's performance next season.

While Adams is a six-time Pro Bowler, he is yet to add a Super Bowl win to his resume. If Las Vegas is unable to compete for big honors next term, the 30-year-old might consider switching teams to get himself that elusive ring.

#5. DK Metcalf - Seattle Seahawks

Almost every NFL team knows about DK Metcalf's potential. The receiver is an elite and incredible weapon for the Seattle Seahawks in their offense.

However, with Geno Smith as their starting quarterback, the Seahawks don't seem likely to challenge for major titles on a regular basis.

Meanwhile, Metcalf is in the prime of his career and wouldn't want to spend too much time with a franchise that is not serious about winning the Super Bowl. The 25-year-old will surely keep his options open next season if Seattle isn't up there among the best teams in the league.
