3 other players who perfectly complemented Tom Brady

Which player has been the most complementary to Tom Brady?

#3 - Julian Edelman

Julian Edelman worked in the same way that Wes Welker did, only he was far more productive in the endzone. Both were speedy wide receivers that Brady depended on when he needed to get the team out of a tight situation, or quite simply, to just get open. Edelman always seemed open, or ready to turn on the jets when he caught the ball.

Edelman would find ways to slip past defenders and achieve that small bit of yardage that would keep the Patriots in field goal range or move the sticks. He was dependable in every single way for Brady.

#2 - Randy Moss

This one should be and always will be a given. Randy Moss was just a legendary wide receiver all the way through, and when he was sent over to the Patriots, it almost didn't seem fair. The ability to catch the ball in tight windows or just reach over defenders is what made the duo of Randy Moss and Tom Brady so dangerous .

After his drop-off with the Vikings and then his short stint with the Raiders, Moss headed to New England, where he put together three of the most impressive seasons with Brady, especially in 2007 when the pair hooked up for 23 TDs. Moss was able to be that big-body receiver that Brady just had to throw the ball up to because he would always catch it.

#1 - Rob Gronkowski

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski have hooked up for a massive number of TDs. Gronk is one of the best tight ends of all time, and Brady always used his big body and pass-catching ability to the maximum of his abilities. The pair have connected for the second-most all-time TDs. They only trail Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison.

Even after Gronkowski retired, he came out of retirement to join Brady with the Bucs to hook up on more crossing routes that always work. Gronk knows his assignments down to the smallest detail, and Brady knows where to throw the ball, and Gronk will always be in the right place to catch it.
