Deion Sanders is an NFL legend and one of the greatest athletes of all time. He spent 14 seasons in the league and is considered one of the best cornerbacks in NFL history, as well as a dangerous punt returner. He is one of the only players in this generation to play offense and defense at the same time. He is also one of the only athletes who ever played in the NFL and MLB simultaneously.
Sanders spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Washington Commanders, and Baltimore Ravens on his way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Since retiring from his legendary career on the field, he has also been a successful NFL broadcaster, among many other ventures in the media and elsewhere.
Deion Sanders entered the world of football coaching in 2012. He started as a high school coach before being hired as the head coach of Jackson State in college football in 2020. The NCAA football program is a member of the FCS. He has made an immediate impact on the program, accumulating an impressive 26-5 overall record across three seasons.
Sanders has proven an elite ability to recruit high-level talent to the program. This, combined with his deep football knowledge, has resulted in a perfect 11-0 record during the 2022 college football season. This has attracted the attention of some of the top college football programs in the country.

Deion Sanders has reportedly received offers to take over as the head coach of several FBS programs. He could very well take a step up in his head coaching career if he desires to do so. Here are five potential landing spots for the new hot head coaching candidate.
#1 - Colorado Buffaloes
Deion Sanders has reportedly confirmed rumors that have been swirling that Colorado offered him the job to become their head coach. He is yet to announce whether he is considering it. Rather, he has insisted that his entire focus is still on Jackson State right now. Sanders also said Colorado isn't the only program that has offered him the position. He, however, declined to mention what other programs have made him an offer.
#2 - South Florida Bulls
Rumors has it that South Florida has also had discussions with Deion Sanders about becoming their next head coach. Sources close to Sanders have apparently reported the information. Sanders himself, however, has yet to confirm or deny it.
#3 - Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Deion Sanders has ties to the state of Georgia and the city of Atlanta. He played for the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL and the Atlanta Braves in the MLB. Georgia Tech ideally needs a head coach who can compete in the recruiting process with the Georgia Bulldogs. Sanders has already successfully recruited top prospects to the FBS program, so the fit makes sense for several reasons.
#4 - Cincinnati Bearcats
Luke Fickell has built a winning program at Cincinnati. He has competed with some of the best programs in the country, despite coaching at a relatively smaller school. It was only a matter of time before he likely left for a job at a major university. That time is apparently now, as he is reportedly signing on with the Wisconsin Badgers. If Cincinnati wants to keep their momentum rolling, they will need to make a splash hire. Deion Sanders could be exactly that.
#5 - Stanford Cardinals
Stanford is currently seeking a new head coach after David Shaw, one of the best coaches in program history, recently resigned from his position. Stanford has failed to remain competitive in their conference over the last few seasons, so making a big move to acquire Deion Sanders could potentially get them back on the right track.
