The easy part is done in Super Bowl LVII. The Kansas City Chiefs have been crowned champions, the Philadelphia Eagles declared valiant losers and Patrick Mahomes is now a two-time Super Bowl and regular-season MVP. A victory parade is already being planned for today in Kansas City and the grind of the NFL seems to be back on again even before it's over.
But for those of us who watched the Super Bowl with all its trappings and festoons, one big question mark remains. What were the worst commercials of Super Bowl LVII?
Worst Super Bowl LVII ads
#1 - Avocados from Mexico
Who wouldn't want that extra guacamole in a burrito bowl? But when it comes to avocados, they are best avoided in the Super Bowl. Because while they have been running ads for the past few years, this year was just a bit off even with Anna Faris gracing the screen. What was supposed to be a novel concept did not quite land the punch they might have thought it would. Have a look and judge for yourself.

#2 - Hellman's
The general thumb rule is that one is hitting rock-bottom if they have to resort to food-based puns. Jon Hamm and Brie Larson managed to pull that feat off by appearing for a Hellman's commercial, just using their names to create some of the dullest banter possible. Pete Davidson made an appearance as well, though your guess about the purpose of that cameo is as good as ours.
#3 - Squarespace
This is not as bad as it is confusing. The idea behind the whole ad is that the product is a website that creates a website. This leads to the natural conclusion that it can replicate itself.
However, the website is not used to create the same website, hence Adam Driver's self-cloning is not an apposite comparison. It seems to be an attempt where simplicity might have served the creative ambition better than this convolution.
#4 - Doritos
Doritos has somehow managed to make the impossible come true. No, they did not make the triangle fashionable again as a musical instrument. Instead, they managed to combine Jack Harlow and an Elton John cameo into an ad that said nothing more than Doritos being triangular. It is a wasted ad that they could have done much better with.
#5 - FanDuel
Unless you have been in a coma for the past month or so, you could not have missed an endless stream of ads from this company. Rob Gronkowski was supposed to attempt a field goal during Super Bowl LVII. That was the whole conceit, so much so that Gronk brought Adam Vinatieri to practice.
Instead, it turned out to be a promo for a Super Bowl LVII halftime ad and nothing more. The attempt was missed, making it quite a dampener on proceedings. Never had a buildup so strong led to a result so disappointing.
This concludes our list of the worst Super Bowl LVII ads. Unlike football, there is no clear winner or loser here. You can always let us know what you find worse or if you disagree with our selections.
