The XFL kicked off last weekend, with many players not deemed good enough for the NFL strutting their stuff.

The XFL returned for 2023 after disbanding at the end of the 2020 season, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson purchasing the league before its restart.

Many players in the XFL have previously played in the NFL, while others entered the league hoping they'd get a shot at the next level soon.

Jeff Badet of the Vegas Vipers could get a call from an NFL executive if his Week 1 performance is anything to go by.

Despite the Vipers falling to defeat, Badet caught six of nine targets for 81 yards and two touchdowns.

The Kentucky alum has bounced around NFL practice squads before, but if he can keep it up, there's no reason the 28-year-old could make the step up.

#4 - Sal Cannella

Mississippi v Auburn

Sal Cannella of the Arlington Renegades may well get a shot at becoming a star in the NFL. Cannella led all tight ends in yards during week 1 of the XFL season, catching seven passes for 70 yards.

The NFL seems short of elite tight-end talent outside of your Travis Kelces, George Kittles, and Mark Andrews of the world, so Cannella has a reasonable shot at making an NFL roster.

#3 - Andrew Jamiel

Wideout Andrew Jamiel of the Oakland Guardians led all receivers with a whopping 26.7 yards per reception in Week 1 of the 2023 XFL season.

The 25-year-old is yet to get a shot at an NFL roster. The closest he came was a workout with the New England Patriots in July 2022.

He amassed 80 yards and a touchdown on just three receptions, and his big play ability could be an asset to many NFL teams.

#2 - Kalen Ballage

Former Miami Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage led all XFL backs with 84 rushing yards on 24 carries for the San Antonio Brahmas.

Despite the YPC not being overly impressive, the fact Ballage can act as a workhorse with so many carries will indeed have some NFL teams on high alert.

#1 - Jahcour Pearson

Wide receiver Jahcour Pearson of the Seattle Sea Dragons was one of the standout players of week 1 of the XFL season.

Pearson caught 12 out of 14 passes for 95 yards, averaging 6.75 yards per target in a pass-happy Seattle offense.

The former Ole Miss wideout is only 24 years old and will have made some NFL execs stand up and take notice.
