Week 2 Fantasy Football trade targets

Each week of the fantasy football season creates opportunities for managers to capitalize on the trade market. The best strategy is to target players who are seemingly undervalued and swap others who may be on the verge of declining. Here are some of the best options from both categories for Week 2 of the 2024 season.

Buy Low candidates

#1 - Dalton Kincaid

Dalton Kincaid entered the 2024 season with high expectations, but turned in a disappointing performance in his first game. He recorded just one reception for 11 yards, but his outlook still appears bright for the remainder of the season. Sportskeeda's Fantasy Football Trade Analyzer recommends acquiring him in a swap for Dalton Schultz and Christian Kirk before the Buffalo Bills tight end breaks out.

#2 - Zay Flowers

Zay Flowers turned in just 37 receiving yards in his first game of the season, but his volume suggests that better days are ahead of him. He registered six receptions on 10 targets, so he seems to be a key piece of the Baltimore Ravens' dynamic offense.

#3 - Rashid Shaheed

Rashid Shaheed flashed his upside last season with four weekly finishes among the top 20 fantasy football wide receivers, despite his limited playing time. He followed that up by leading the New Orleans Saints with 73 receiving yards in Week 1 of the 2024 season, so his increased role makes him an attractive player to target.

#4 - Josh Jacobs

Josh Jacobs finished as just the RB26 in his first game with the Green Bay Packers, but he still received 18 touches for 104 yards. With quarterback Jordan Love suffering an injury last week, Jacobs' workload may increase going forward. It makes sense to acquire him before that happens and his value potentially goes up.

Sell High candidates

#1 - JK Dobbins

JK Dobbins surprisingly led the Los Angeles Chargers in rushing for Week 1, despite Gus Edwards being their starting running back. While Dobbins has much more upside than Edwards, he is also extremely risky given his extensive injury history. Capitalizing on his strong performance makes sense as a sell high scenario in fantasy football.

#2 - Nico Collins

Nico Collins picked up from where he left off last season, leading the Houston Texans in receiving. The issue is that he recorded just two more targets than Stefon Diggs and one more than Tank Dell. This crowded wide receiver room could be tricky to navigate in fantasy football, making Collins a sell candidate now while he is still the leading option.

#3 - Isaiah Likely

Isaiah Likely broke out in a huge way last week, finishing as the overall TE1 in fantasy football. This makes him an ideal sell-high candidate as he is unlikely to maintain his current value with Mark Andrews still the Baltimore Ravens' starting tight end.

#4 - Rachaad White

Rachaad White was heavily involved in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense in the first game, including 21 touches for 106 yards. The problemn is that he averaged just 2 yards per carry, while Bucky Irving showed off his impressive explosiveness with 6.9 yards per carry. The rookie may have earned himself additional touches, so managers should offload White before it's too late.
