Aaron Jones is an American football running back for the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL as of 2024. Born on December 2, 1994, Jones was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where he became the most prolific rusher in the program's history. During his time with the UTEP Miners from 2013 to 2016, Jones set multiple school records, including most career rushing yards (4,114), most 100-yard rushing games (17), and most 200-yard games (5).
In his senior season, Jones racked up 1,773 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns, cementing his place as one of the top running backs in UTEP history. He also recorded 301 rushing yards in his final collegiate game, the second-most in school history.
