For James Conner and Aaron Jones, this fantasy football season has been interesting. Both running backs started the year well and are performing at a high level, creating doubts about which is the better option for Week 4.
Is James Conner a good pick in Week 4?
There's a good chance that James Conner will feast against the Washington Commanders, as they have one of the worst defenses in the NFL. The fact that the team almost lost a game where they scored 38 points goes to show how teams can exploit them.
Conner has great value in Arizona and has been playing at a high level since the 2023 season. He also has value as a pass catcher in PPR leagues as he represents a nice check down option for Kyler Murray, who's playing well. Arizona is 1-2, but not because of their offensive players.

Is Aaron Jones a good pick in Week 4?
He's a good pick as well, as the Green Bay Packers have not been playing well with their run defense, something that has become common in recent years. There has been a major evolution of the unit under Jeff Hafley's guidance, but they're still bad defending the run.
Jones will face his old team for the first time and he's off to a great start this season, putting some 5.4 yards-per-carry and with two touchdowns already. He has been immense for the Minnesota Vikings to help Sam Darnold settle into the starter quarterback role.
Whom should I start between James Conner and Aaron Jones in Week 4?
The Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer makes it clear that, although both are good options for your team, the Cardinals running back is set to have a better day against a Commanders' defense that's not likely to stop anything on Sunday.
That doesn't mean that Aaron Jones is a bad option. He has been playing well, has a favorable matchup and will get plenty of touches on Sunday. But James Conner is just a player with a more favorable matchup whose numbers in 2024 will translate to a better projection – and likely a better game.
